Oona King currently serves as the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at Uber since January 2024. Oona King holds the title of Baroness King of Bow in the House of Lords, where a leave of absence is currently in effect, having previously scrutinised legislation and influenced law changes. Previous roles include Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Snap Inc. and Director of Diversity Strategy at Google, where Oona King authored the 2018 and 2019 Diversity Annual Reports. Other significant positions include Global Director of Diverse Marketing at YouTube and Chief Diversity Officer at Channel 4, where Oona King initiated Project DIAMOND for monitoring diversity in British broadcasting. Oona King's political experience includes serving as Senior Advisor on Equalities at 10 Downing Street, where negotiation led to the 2010 Equality Act, and as Member of Parliament for Bethnal Green & Bow. Oona King's educational background includes a BA Hons in Politics from the University of York and a year abroad at the University of California, Berkeley.
