Mike Grigsby

Mike Grigsby has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mike currently holds the position of Director of Business Development at Ubicquia, Inc since September 2023. Mike also serves as the Executive Advisor at MWGrigs LLC since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Impact Advisor at Keystone Group International from July 2022 onwards. From December 2022 to September 2023, they were associated with Lumen Technologies in the role of Citizen Engagement Solutions. Mike served as the Director of Innovation and Technology at the City of Sioux Falls from April 2020 to July 2022. Before that, they worked at Cisco as a Smart+Connected Communities consultant from August 2018 to April 2020. Mike also has experience as a Guest Lecturer at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College from March 2014 to October 2018. In addition, they held the positions of Vice President/Chief Information Officer at KCATA from November 2016 to August 2018 and Director of Information Services at the Kansas City Missouri Police Department from April 2012 to November 2016. Mike started their career as a Police Officer/Detective at the Kansas City Missouri Police Department from April 2005 to April 2012. Mike Grigsby also founded their own company, Purpleproof, LLC, in August 1999, which they owned until June 2012.

Mike Grigsby holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School. Mike also has a background in Management Information Systems and Services from the University of Arkansas Grantham. Additionally, they have received a certification in Foundations of City Innovation: Strategy, Leadership & Innovation from Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, as well as a certification as a Facilitator from The Arbinger Institute in 2015.
