Kristaps Skrastins

Kristaps Skrastins has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kristaps is currently working at Ubiquiti Inc. as an IT Project Manager and Product Line Manager, where they lead software R&D teams and ensures the development and shipment of stable and cutting-edge software for more than 1 million devices worldwide.

Prior to that, Kristaps was the CEO and Co-Founder of xTimer, a sports tech company. Kristaps successfully built a next-generation sprint analysis system and achieved high customer satisfaction, leading coaches to switch from existing timekeeping systems to xTimer.

Kristaps also worked as an Electronics Engineer at MikroTik, a Latvian IT equipment manufacturer, where they were responsible for testing and repairing various products. Kristaps participated in the Buildit Accelerator program as the CEO of xTimer, gaining knowledge in designing business plans and creating unique value propositions.

Additionally, Kristaps worked as a Robotics Engineer at iRobot Latvia, where they focused on promotional projects to make robotics more interesting to the target audience. Kristaps also gained experience as an Electronics Engineer at Winmill and as a Junior Electronics Engineer at Riga Technical University's Design Factory.

Furthermore, Kristaps served as a Robotics teacher at Valmiera Pargauja gymnasium, where they taught high school students various topics related to competition robot building, including electronics, mechanics, and programming.

Kristaps Skrastins completed their education at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University). Kristaps obtained a Professional Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Computerised Control of Electrical Technologies from 2014 to 2018. Following that, they pursued further studies and is expected to graduate with a Professional Master's Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering, specializing in Computerised Control of Electrical Technologies, in 2023.
