Himanshu Dhar

Himanshu Dhar is a technology architect with extensive experience in high-performance computing, generative AI, and machine learning infrastructure, particularly focusing on distributed computing within cloud services. They contributed to the installation of India's first Petaflop Supercomputer and are currently leading the transformation of a legacy financial risk application into a modern microservices architecture on an open-source platform. Previous roles include key positions at D. E. Shaw & Co., ION Trading, and Citi, where they demonstrated their expertise in performance analysis and engineering. Himanshu holds a Bachelor in Engineering degree in Production Engineering from the College of Engineering Pune and is also a certified mountaineer and high-altitude trekker, passionate about promoting public understanding of basic science.
