Joanne Baines has extensive experience in operational strategy and risk management within the banking sector, having held various leadership positions at notable institutions. At ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Joanne served as a Global Operations Strategist, where strategic models were designed and implemented for a global reconciliations hub, and as Head of Risk in Group Functions, successfully delivering an Operational Risk programme. Subsequent roles include Head of Operational Risk at Royal Bank of Scotland, where Joanne developed a risk framework for support functions, and current duties as Operational Risk Controller at UBS Corporate Centre. Previous experience encompasses roles at Guinness Mahon Group, ABN AMRO Bank Deutschland AG, and Deloitte Haskins & Sells, combined with a strong academic background with a Master of Arts degree in Modern Languages from St Anne's College, Oxford University.
