Volker Niederländer

Volker Niederländer is currently the CEO of both the UBS Philanthropy Foundation and UBS Optimus Foundation, with a focus on social impact and philanthropy in Switzerland. They have extensive experience in risk management and compliance, having served as Head Legal/Risk/Tax and Risikomanager at UBS Optimus Foundation, as well as Chief Compliance Officer at UBS Swiss Financial Advisers AG. Prior to their roles at UBS, Volker worked as a client advisor for SME clients at Europa Bank AG and held various auditing positions at Dresdner Bank and Volkswagen Financial Services. They earned a Diplom in Economics from Universita degli studi di Siena and a Diplom-Kaufmann in Betriebswirtschaft from Universität des Saarlandes.
