Alejandro Schuler

Alejandro Schuler is an Assistant Professor in Residence at the University of California, Berkeley, where work involves collaboration with Drs. Mark van der Laan and Alan Hubbard at the Center for Targeted Learning to advance statistical methodologies. Previously, Alejandro served as an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, teaching graduate data science courses and mentoring students. As a Biostatistician at Unlearn.AI and a Data Scientist at Kaiser Permanente Division of Research, responsibilities included managing research teams focused on real-time predictive modeling and clinical intervention evaluation. Alejandro's early career involved consultancy roles, including providing quantitative expertise to Kaiser Permanente and performing feasibility analyses in renewable energy. Alejandro obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University and holds an MS in Controls and Dynamical Systems from UCLA, as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
