Iain Clark

Iain Clark is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley since January 2021. With extensive experience in various research roles, Iain was a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School in the Quintana Lab, focusing on CNS inflammation and molecular tools from May 2018 to December 2020, and at UCSF in the Abate Lab, specializing in droplet microfluidics and single-cell sequencing from March 2015 to December 2020. Prior academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Master of Science in Biosystems Engineering from UC Davis. Iain has also contributed to industry through roles at Fluent BioSciences Inc. and has held engineering positions with Larry Walker Associates and Cornell University. A notable achievement includes a fundraising bicycle journey in 2006 that supported conservation efforts in Paraguay.
