Kaushik Basu is an accomplished educator and researcher with extensive experience in teaching and mentorship in mathematics and physics. Currently serving as a Visiting Associate at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences since January 2024, Basu aims to enhance collaboration and organize programs while contributing to a vibrant scientific community. As a Science Teacher at Proof School since May 2015, Basu instructs middle school physical science, advanced senior physics, and an art class. Additional roles include speaking for the Marin Math Circle and mentoring undergraduates in the CalTeach program at UC Berkeley, where Basu has taught since June 2013. Previous experience includes workshop instruction at the Pacific Pinball Museum, an analyst position at Planetasia, and serving as a science correspondent for The Asian Age. Basu holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Physics from Presidency University, Kolkata.
