Martha Ortega Mendoza is a dedicated educator and higher education consultant with extensive experience in supporting first-generation, low-income, and undocumented students. Currently serving as a Graduate Student Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley since September 2018, Martha has developed curricula for the Beyond Berkeley workshop series and designed professional development programming for graduate students. As a consultant, Martha collaborates with public universities to enhance retention programs through tailored support and workshops. Previous experience includes serving as the Interim Undocumented Student Services Coordinator at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where Martha provided holistic counseling and professional development support. Martha holds a Ph.D. in Education and a Master of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Latin American and Latino Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
