Michelle Poulin

Michelle Poulin currently serves as the Executive Director of the Berkeley Population Center at the University of California, Berkeley, a position held since December 2021. Prior to this role, Michelle worked as a Social Scientist at The World Bank from December 2013 to February 2022. Michelle's academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas from August 2010 to August 2012, where courses focused on Gender and Developing Societies were taught. Additionally, Michelle held post-doctoral researcher positions at Brown University (July 2008 - July 2010) and the University of Pennsylvania (August 2006 - June 2008). Michelle earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Sociology from Boston University and has academic credentials from the University of Pennsylvania.
