Sarah O'Brien is currently a PhD student in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, since August 2022. Previously, Sarah served as a Research Assistant at Uppsala University, focusing on the Economics of Planetary Boundaries, and at RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment. Other notable roles include assisting in a microfinance RCT in Uganda at Università Bocconi and contributing to an international project at Harvard Business School, where Sarah worked on large datasets and methodological analysis. Early experience includes consulting on the Vancouver music industry's labor market, developing sustainable data collection methods for nutrition projects in Uganda, and serving as a Teaching Assistant at UBC Sauder School of Business. Sarah holds a Master's degree in Economics and Social Sciences from Università Bocconi and a Bachelor's degree in International Economics from The University of British Columbia.
