Cory Parker

Assistant Professor Of Teaching at UC Davis

Cory Parker is an accomplished academic and landscape architect with extensive experience in higher education and professional practice. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor and Project Scientist at the University of California, Davis since January 2018, Parker has also held positions as a Visiting Professor of Spatial Justice at the University of Oregon, where research focused on homelessness and social infrastructure. Previous roles include Instructor for the U.C. Berkeley [In]LAND Summer Program and Founder/Director of Prospects in Place, which offered innovative landscape study approaches. Parker's professional experience includes senior associate roles at Jones & Jones Architects and Landscape Architects, Ltd., and work in wetland ecology and restoration at L.C. Lee and Associates, as well as urban landscape design with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Educational credentials include a PhD in Geography from the University of California, Davis, and advanced degrees in Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington and the University of California, Davis.
