Holly Kirkland-Walsh

Holly Kirkland-Walsh serves as the Wound Team Director at UCDMC since November 2008, focusing on quality and safety, litigation mitigation, research, and leadership. Concurrently, Holly has worked as a Nurse Practitioner at UC Davis since April 2006, providing care to Sacramento's indigent population and previously trained as a midwife in Ireland and England. From January 1993 to August 2014, Holly consulted for admissions at The Effort, where responsibilities included screening clients for drug and alcohol program admissions and serving as the Assistant Medical Director for an indigent health clinic. Holly holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Obesity and intentional weight loss in older adults from the University of California, San Francisco, obtained between 2010 and 2016, and another Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the FNP/PA program from the same institution, completed in 1995.
