Qianjin Montoya

Academic Liaison, Jan Shrem And Maria Manetti Shrem Museum Of Art at UC Davis

Qianjin Montoya is an experienced art curator currently serving as the Associate Curator of Contemporary Art at The Contemporary Jewish Museum since January 2020. Previous roles include Assistant Curator and Americas Collection Fellow at Kadist Art Foundation, as well as Independent Researcher at SFMOMA, focusing on the legacy of the MIX Program. Montoya also contributed to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts as a Visual Arts Curatorial Research Associate, developing an oral history and archive of Bay Area Now exhibitions, and held positions as Gallery Assistant at Jessica Silverman Gallery and Gallery Co-Director at One Grand Gallery. Additional experience includes Studio Manager at Art ala Carte PDX and Sales Associate at Anthropologie. Qianjin Montoya holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Arts in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts.
