Saif Islam

Saif Islam is a distinguished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in electrical and computer engineering. Currently serving as Professor and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis, Saif has held various roles, including Director of the Northern California Nanotechnology Center, which was later renamed the Center for Nano and Micro Manufacturing. Saif also leads the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute at UC Davis. Contributions to professional organizations include serving as Senior Editor for IEEE Access. In addition to an academic career, Saif co-founded Atocera, Inc. and Flexstrata, Inc., focusing on innovative technologies. Educational credentials include a PhD and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, along with a Master's in Physics from Bilkent University and a Bachelor's in Physics from Middle East Technical University.
