Robert R. Redfield

Robert R. Redfield serves as the Division Chief of Transplant Surgery at UCI Health since May 2023. Previously held positions include Surgical Director of the Living Donor Kidney Program at Penn Medicine from August 2020 to May 2023 and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University during the same period. Prior experience includes Associate Surgical Director of Kidney Transplantation at UW Health and Assistant Professor of Transplant Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from July 2017 to August 2020. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree, graduating Magna cum Laude from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, along with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from Loyola University Maryland. Robert R. Redfield also completed a fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and has a background in general surgery residency and postdoctoral research in transplant immunobiology.
