Aadeel Akhtar

Aadeel Akhtar, PhD, is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of PSYONIC, a company innovating in bionic technologies with a focus on products like the Ability Hand for individuals with upper limb amputations. Aadeel also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UC San Diego and as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Aadeel's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Master of Science in Computer Science from Loyola University Chicago. Previous roles include research fellowships and positions in software development, teaching, and research in institutions like the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago Medical Center.
