Lizelda Lopez

Lizelda Lopez is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in public relations and communications across various sectors. Currently serving as Associate Director of Communications at PacBio since February 2022, Lizelda previously held significant roles including Senior Manager of Public Relations at Illumina and Director of Communications for the Office of Senate President pro Tempore Toni Atkins. Lizelda's expertise also includes positions such as Deputy Director of Communications and Public Relations at Covered California, Senior Vice President at Ogilvy Public Relations, and Public Affairs Manager at The California Endowment. Lizelda began a career in public affairs with the California Department of Social Services and the California Health and Human Services Agency. Academic credentials include a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Latin American Studies from UCLA.
