Martin Rock

Martin Rock, Ph.D., currently serves as Non Senate Faculty at UC San Diego, teaching a climate startup lab and courses focused on climate communication and awareness. Previously, Martin held the position of Managing Director at Project InsideOut, where responsibilities included facilitating sustainable global transformation and developing learning journeys. Martin's experience also includes being a Learning and Development Manager at Salesforce, where success in leadership development led to high engagement scores. Additional roles range from a Data Storyteller at Google to various communication and design positions, including directing communications for the Exploratorium and managing editorial duties for Gulf Coast - A Journal of Literature & Fine Arts. Martin holds a Ph.D. in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Houston, an MFA from New York University, and a BA from Florida State University.
