Ted Liefeld

Ted Liefeld is an accomplished software architect with extensive experience in leading software development projects within the fields of science and healthcare. Currently serving as Lead Software Architect at the University of California, San Diego since July 2015, Ted Liefeld focuses on designing and managing software applications aimed at advancing scientific research. Concurrently, Ted Liefeld has held the position of Chief Software Architect for the Cancer Program at the Broad Institute since 2003, where responsibilities include leading the GenePattern development team. Previous roles include Lead Software Architect at Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc and Senior Consultant at GemStone Systems Inc. Ted Liefeld holds a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western University.
