Amber King has a diverse work experience in the field of medical writing. Amber is currently working at UCB as the Director and Global Medical Writing Team Lead since December 2022. Before this role, they were an Associate Director for the same company from January 2020 to December 2022. Prior to UCB, Amber was associated with AbbVie as a Principal Medical Writer, where they provided medical writing expertise for multiple compounds and projects within immunology. Amber also worked at GSK as a Lead Medical Writing Scientist and at Quintiles as a Medical Writer 2. Amber's early career included a role as an IRTA Fellow at The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). Overall, Amber has demonstrated their expertise in medical writing and has successfully completed various projects and submissions throughout their career.
Amber King completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the years 2002-2006. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in the years 2006-2011.
