Carl Chiang

Senior Clinical Program Director at UCB

Carl Chiang has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Carl is currently working as a Senior Clinical Program Director at UCB since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Director, Clinical Science at Modis Therapeutics (A Zogenix Company) from December 2020 to June 2022. From April 2011 to January 2021, they worked as the Director, Clinical Development at Zinfandel Pharmaceuticals. Carl also worked at GlaxoSmithKline as a Manager, Clinical Development from October 2001 to April 2011. Before that, they held the position of Senior Clinical Research Scientist at Cato Research from July 1998 to October 2001. Carl began their career as a Junior Fellow Experimental Neuroscience at The Neurosciences Institute from July 1995 to July 1998.

Carl Chiang received their Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Drexel University College of Medicine in 1993. Prior to that, they studied Neuroscience at New York University from 1986 to 1989. Carl completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986.
