David Edwards

David Edwards is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in toxicology and drug development. Currently serving as Non-Clinical Safety Lead at UCB since September 2021, David previously held the position of Toxicologist at Freeline, where responsibilities included designing and managing outsourced toxicology studies. David's earlier role as Preclinical Scientist at Cancer Research UK involved managing all aspects of early-stage clinical development. Prior experience includes positions as a Toxicologist at Unilever, Principal Scientist at GE Healthcare, and Scientist at Amersham Health, alongside earlier roles in research and technician capacities. David holds a PhD in Nuclear Medicine & Pharmacology from Uppsala University, an MSc in Radiation Biology from the University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in Biological Chemistry from the University of Leicester.
