Enric Comas

Enric Comas has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries. Enric currently serves as the Lead Business Analyst at UCB, where they focus on corporate development and finance in the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to that, Enric held the position of Head of R&D at LenioBio GmbH, specializing in product and process development, particularly in cell-free protein expression. Enric also worked at DSM as the Global R&D Center Head Analytics, Director at DSM Biotechnology Center, overseeing product development and characterization in the biotechnology field. Enric's work history also includes various roles at Dow, where they served as the Manager of Research and Development, Technical Services Lab Manager, Environmental Health Safety Specialist in R&D, and Core R&D Scientist, focusing on process analytics and advanced modeling across all Dow business units.

Enric Comas has a diverse education history, reflecting their expertise in both business and chemistry. In 1995, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Enric furthered their academic pursuits at the same institution, completing a PhD in Chemometrics in 2005. During their doctoral studies, they embarked on a PhD internship at East Carolina University in 2002, focusing on Chemistry and Chemometrics. Recently, in 2020, they successfully obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with Welch Scholar Distinction from the Jack Welch Management Institute. In addition to their educational qualifications, Enric has also acquired various certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) from DSM in 2018 and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) from Dow in 2015.
