Jean-Pierre Valentin

Jean-Pierre Valentin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in toxicology and pharmacology. Currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Investigative Toxicology at UCB since February 2014, Jean-Pierre previously held the position of Director of Safety Pharmacology at AstraZeneca from February 2000 to January 2014. Prior to that, Jean-Pierre served as Associate Director of Safety Pharmacology at Astra Pharmaceuticals and led the Cardiovascular Laboratory at Pierre Fabre from August 1992 to September 1998. Jean-Pierre holds a PhD in Cell Biology and Physiology from the University of Sciences & Techniques from Languedoc (USTL) and completed a post-doctoral position in Cardio-renal physiology and pharmacology at the University of California, San Francisco.
