Kyriel Pineault, Ph.D., currently serves as Principal Scientist in Gene Therapy bioanalysis at UCB since November 2021, focusing on PCR bioanalytical method development for biodistribution and shedding assessments of Gene Therapy projects. Prior to this role, Kyriel held positions as a Senior Scientist and a Gene Therapy PCR Research Scientist at Imperial College London, contributing to pre-clinical programs for viral gene therapy aimed at Cystic fibrosis. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral research position at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia, where Kyriel developed mouse models utilizing Cas9/CRISPR technology, and doctoral research at the University of Michigan, which provided foundational evidence for Hox11-expressing MSC populations. Education includes a Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Vermont. Additionally, Kyriel has received training in Biomedical Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Clinical and Translational Research.
