Lucian Ionescu

Lucian Ionescu has a comprehensive work experience in the field of immunology and medical affairs. Lucian has held various leadership positions at UCB, including VP, Head of Immunology Europe and VP, Global Head Immunology Psoriasis, where they were responsible for overseeing and managing immunology-related operations. Prior to that, they served as VP, Head of Medical Affairs Immunology and Senior Director Global Lead Axial Spondyloarthropaties, Global Lead Innovation at UCB. Lucian also worked as a Global and US Senior Medical Director Immunology and Medical Director Immunology - Global Medical Affairs. Before joining UCB, they were a Senior Research Investigator at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Lucian holds an MBA from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.

Lucian Ionescu completed their Graduate Education Executive Management degree in Business Administration and Management at The Wharton School from 2004 to 2005. Lucian then pursued an MBA at Vlerick Business School from 2005 to 2006. Prior to their business education, Lucian earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie "Carol Davila" din București, studying from 1993 to 1999. Recently, in 2022, Lucian completed an Executive Coaching program at INSEAD, and in 2020, they obtained a Strategic Leadership Certificate from IMD.
