Thomas Edwards

Thomas Edwards is a prominent professional in the field of structural biology, currently serving as Director of Structural Biology at UCB since June 2017, where responsibilities include leading the structural biology group at UCB Seattle-Boston and acting as co-Principal Investigator at the Seattle Structural Genomics Center for Infectious Disease (SSGCID). Prior to this role, Thomas held the position of Vice President of Structural Biology at Beryllium from October 2013 to June 2017, also contributing as co-PI at SSGCID and supervising senior managers. Thomas's earlier career includes significant roles at Emerald Bio, Emerald BioStructures, deCODE biostructures, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where expertise in crystallography and protein production was developed. Thomas earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Washington in 2003 and holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound.
