Ugo Cocchini

Ugo Cocchini is an experienced professional in the field of Chemical Engineering, currently serving as the Head of Engineering Sciences at UCB since January 2014, where responsibilities include leading the Chemical Process Engineering group and overseeing development activities for the scale-up and industrialization of processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients. Prior to this, Ugo held various positions at GlaxoSmithKline from January 2003 to December 2013, including Team Leader and Senior Investigator, focusing on particle engineering development and technical management of early phase projects. Ugo's earlier experience includes a Research Associate position at Imperial College London, specializing in pyrolysis and gasification of solid wastes. Ugo earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and a Laurea in Chemical Engineering from the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli.
