Vanessa Salcedo, MD, MPH has a strong background in pediatrics and community health promotion. Vanessa started their career as a Fulbright Scholar in 2008 and then pursued their medical training at Columbia University Medical Center, where they completed their residency in Pediatrics. In 2013, they joined St. Barnabas Hospital as a Pediatrician and subsequently became the Director of Community Health Promotion at Union Community Health Center. In 2016, Dr. Salcedo joined the faculty of CUNY SOPHIE DAVIS as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.
Vanessa Salcedo, MD, MPH pursued their education starting in 2004 at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 2008. Following the completion of their medical degree, they enrolled at The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health to further their studies in Epidemiology. There, they obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in 2008.
