Avanija Menon

Avanija Menon is an experienced data engineer and machine learning researcher currently working at Shell and LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), with expertise in statistical modeling and generative AI. Avanija has a background in software engineering and machine learning research, having completed a project on transfer learning for expression prediction performance at PhycoWorks. Previous roles include data science and machine learning analyst at Standard Chartered Bank, tutoring, content creation for A-level Physics, and summer research at UCL focused on formaldehyde rovibrational linelists. Avanija has also held leadership positions, such as Vice President of the UCL Physics Society and Campus Ambassador for the Institute of Physics, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at Imperial College London after completing a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics at UCL.
