Panayiotis Petousis

Panayiotis Petousis is a Senior Data Scientist at UCLA Health since October 2019, leading a team focused on modeling disease progression and analyzing large electronic health record (EHR) data. Prior experience includes serving as a Data Scientist at West Corporation, where analytics and machine learning initiatives were managed, and a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA Health, where early lung cancer prediction methodologies were developed. Earlier roles encompass research at Imperial College London involving neural network optimization and internships focused on experimental biology and medical equipment repair. Panayiotis holds a Master of Engineering in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London and a degree in Bioengineering with a concentration in Medical Imaging Informatics from UCLA. Additionally, leadership experience as a Second Lieutenant in the National Guard Cyprus includes overseeing human resources and training for military personnel.
