Desiree E. has extensive experience in various roles focused on healthcare, research, and education, currently serving as a Medication Adherence Team Leader at the UCLA Aftercare Research Program. Desiree has contributed to the study of psychiatric conditions as a Cognitive Training Coach and Research Assistant, exploring medication adherence and efficacy of antipsychotic treatments. In addition to leadership in the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program with a focus on attitudes towards antipsychotic medication, Desiree volunteers at Olive View - UCLA Medical Center and coordinates multiple research projects in biological anthropology and heat studies. Desiree has also served as a Behavioral Coach at the UCLA PEERS® Clinic, worked as a Pediatric Injury Prevention Scholar at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and conducted research on lung cancer at the Dubinett Lab. Desiree is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Psychology/Psychobiology with a minor in Disability Studies at UCLA.
