Director, Adult And Pediatric Spinal Deformity Program

Andrew Vivas serves as the Director of the Adult and Pediatric Spinal Deformity Program and the Associate Program Director for the Neurosurgery Residency Program at UCLA since August 2020, while also holding the position of Assistant Professor. Previously, Andrew Vivas worked as a neurosurgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and completed a fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Complex Spinal Deformity at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Vivas has extensive experience in neurosurgery, having held roles such as attending neurosurgeon and clinical instructor at North Florida Regional Medical Center and principal clinical scientist for surgical and medical devices at nference. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida and fellowships in pediatric spinal deformity and adult and pediatric comprehensive deformity, alongside completing neurosurgery residency at the University of South Florida. Research interests center on spine biomechanics and advanced imaging techniques using artificial intelligence.
