Ilya Yurchenko is a PhD student at UCLA since September 2023, focusing on studying the world. Prior to this, Ilya served as a Senior Data Scientist at Oliver Wyman from September 2020 to October 2023, where responsibilities included maintaining and cleaning databases, building data capabilities, and creating data visualizations. As a Lead Researcher at Tufts University from May 2019 to September 2020, Ilya designed a novel method for data visualization and sonification while directing an interdisciplinary team on a government project. Previous experience includes a Research Assistant role in the Tufts University Department of Physics, where Ilya collaborated with Dr. Cristian Staii on neuron growth dynamics, and another Research Assistant position in the Department of Psychology focused on experiment optimization. Ilya also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Schoolnova at Stony Brook Inc., preparing lessons and engaging students, and as an Independent Researcher at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, developing correlation algorithms for big data studies.
