James Williamson

Senior Advisor To The Vice Provost Of Teaching And Learning For Digital Planning And Strategy

James Williamson has extensive experience in higher education and information technology, currently serving as the Senior Advisor to the Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning for Digital Planning and Strategy at UCLA since May 2011. In addition to this role, Williamson has held several leadership positions at UCLA, including Director of Campus Educational Technology Systems and Administration and Executive Director of Information Technologies Management. Prior experience includes serving as Director of eLearning Programs and Support at California State University, Los Angeles, and various roles at UCLA, starting as Assistant New Media Coordinator and advancing to IT Manager. Williamson's early career includes time at Boeing as a System Engineer. Academic credentials include a BA and MA in English from California State University, Northridge.
