Laurent Pilon

Laurent Pilon is an experienced professional currently serving as Associate Director for Technology and Program Director at ARPA-E since August 2022. Additionally, Laurent has been a Professor at UCLA since July 2002, where responsibilities include leading recitations, advising graduate students, and conducting research. Previously, Laurent held the position of Assistant Professor at Purdue University from August 1998 to August 2002 and worked as a Research Engineer at CEA from March 1997 to February 1999. Academic credentials include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University (1999-2002) and an Ingenieur degree in Applied Physics - Nuclear and Energy Engineering, along with a Diplome d'Etudes Approfondis in Energetic Physics, both from Grenoble INP - Phelma (1994-1997).
