Lou Martin

Lou Martin is an undergraduate researcher at UCLA focusing on parameter extrapolation techniques and emergent capabilities in merged language models. Previous experience includes roles as a Machine Learning Research Intern and Software Engineer at ControlRooms.ai, along with participation as a member of Startup Labs UCLA. Lou also founded L.O. Martin & Co., leveraging Facebook Marketplace's algorithm to achieve $65,000 in revenue through 3,300 sales within three months. Earlier research work was conducted at the University of Massachusetts on a physician-scholar team, resulting in a publication in the Journal of Personalized Medicine. Lou Martin is pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from UCLA, expected to graduate in June 2025.
