Lydia Daboussi

Assistant Professor

Lydia Daboussi, Ph.D., currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, since January 2023. Prior to this role, Lydia was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from April 2014 to October 2022, where Lydia was awarded the George E. Hewitt Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. Lydia's career at UCLA began as a Microscopy Core Facility Manager and Graduate Student from September 2005 to February 2014. Earlier academic experiences include serving as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Developmental Biology Department at Stanford University from January 2002 to June 2005 and holding various research assistant and technician positions at Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies between 1999 and 2001. Lydia earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Chemistry from UCLA.
