Robert Welsh

Robert Welsh is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in physics and psychiatry. Currently, Welsh serves as a Professor at UCLA since January 2022 and has been an Associate Professor at the University of Utah since June 2016, specializing in the Department of Psychiatry. Prior to these roles, Welsh was an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan from September 2006 to June 2016 and held positions as Assistant Professor and Research Investigator there from August 1994 to June 2006, focusing on various scientific disciplines. Welsh began an academic career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins University, specializing in experimental heavy ion collisions, and earlier conducted research in experimental particle physics. Welsh holds a Ph.D. in Physics from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Physics from George Mason University.
