Douglas Katz is the Chef and co-founder of Edgewater Hospitality, a restaurant group in Cleveland, Ohio, known for creating unique dining experiences that emphasize local ingredients and community connections. They opened their first restaurant, fire food and drink, in 2001 and have since expanded to include several concepts, including Amba, Zhug, and Kiln. Currently, they serve as Chef Partner for Provenance at The Cleveland Museum of Art and Morrison Healthcare at The Cleveland Clinic. Douglas enjoys public speaking and consulting, and actively participates in various mentorship and advisory roles within the culinary community. A James Beard Foundation Outstanding Restaurateur Semifinalist in 2025, they continue to shape the culinary landscape of Cleveland.
