Nitisha Mehta currently serves as a Pediatric Resident at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland since May 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a member of the Young Professionals Advisory Council at Family House, where fundraising and advocacy efforts were a focus, and as an Associate Consultant at Triage Consulting Group. Nitisha contributed as a Research Intern at the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute, investigating the genetic epidemiology of Rheumatoid Arthritis. As an Advocate for Health Leads, connections were made for low-income patients to essential community resources. Nitisha also directed the Women's Clinic at Suitcase Clinic, coordinating various health services. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the American Medical Women's Association at UC Berkeley. Nitisha holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Cell Biology and Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.
