Raymond Sze

Raymond Sze has extensive work experience in the field of radiology and diagnostic imaging in children's hospitals. Raymond is currently serving as the Radiologist-in-Chief at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals since 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate Radiologist in Chief at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from 2017 to 2022. In addition, Raymond has worked as the Chief of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology at Children's National Health System from 2006 to 2017. Raymond also has experience as a Pediatric Radiologist at Seattle Children's from 2000 to 2006. Raymond completed a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and residency programs at Stanford University School of Medicine and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Raymond began their medical career as a Transitional Intern at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Over the years, Raymond has made valuable contributions to the field, including the design of family-centered imaging environments and winning multiple design awards.

Raymond Sze began their education in 1980 at the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Illustration/Medical Illustrator in 1984. Raymond then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey from 1984 to 1990, earning a Doctor of Medicine degree. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, they pursued further studies at the University of Illinois Chicago, obtaining a Master of Arts in Biomedical Visualization. In 1995, Raymond Sze attended the New York Academy of Art for a year, although no specific degree or field of study was indicated for this period.
