Shabren Harvey-Smith

Shabren Harvey-Smith, LCSW, serves as the Director of Medical Social Services at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, a position held since June 2019. In addition to this role, Shabren is a Board Member at TNDC since May 2025. Previous experience includes serving as Behavioral Health Manager at the BHPN for a brief period in early 2019 and a long tenure at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health from July 2006 to February 2019, where various roles included Mental Health Clinical Program Manager, Mental Health Clinical Supervisor, and Psychiatric Social Worker I/II. Shabren holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
