Naureen Mirza-George is a seasoned medical professional specializing in pediatric and comprehensive ophthalmology. Since September 2010, Naureen has been serving as a Pediatric and Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at Kaiser Permanente, and as of May 2023, holds the position of Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Associate Physician Diplomat at UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians. In January 2022, Naureen began volunteering as an Eye Surgeon with the Syrian American Medical Society, providing essential medical services to refugees in Zaatari Camp and underserved populations in Amman. Naureen is also a 2024 Fellow at the Human Rights Center, UC Berkeley School of Law, focusing on identifying mental health service gaps for victims of gender-based violence among Syrian refugees. Academically, Naureen earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) at UC Berkeley School of Public Health, expected to be completed in May 2025.

UCSF Benioff Children’s Physicians (UBCP) is a multispecialty physician foundation, and an associated clinically integrated network. Our primary goal is to foster physician collaboration to deliver the most advanced maternal and pediatric care throughout Northern California and beyond. UBCP provides physicians with: -a participative vehicle from which to advance their clinical practices; -management services to employed physicians and to those affiliated physicians who choose to purchase them; -a menu of services that can be chosen individually, based on practice preferences.
