George Weiss

George Weiss has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. George currently serves as the Vice President of Operations at UCSF Medical Center since February 2021, where they oversee day-to-day operations. Prior to this, George held the position of Vice President of Children's Ambulatory Services at UCSF Medical Center from January 2018 to February 2021.

Before joining UCSF Medical Center, George worked at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) for a significant portion of their career. From September 2016 to January 2018, they served as the Executive Director of Health Network, managing operations and strategic planning. Prior to that, they were the Administrative Director of the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, overseeing multiple aspects of the division including business development and research administration. George also held the position of Division Administrator, where they managed operations, finance, and research administration for various divisions within CHLA.

George's earlier experience includes roles at G.C.H.P., where they worked as a Community Organizer coordinating activities related to a young men's health program, and at Coffee Talk Magazine as the Sales and Marketing Director, responsible for strategic planning and business development.

George Weiss obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a focus on Theater and Dance from Pomona College between 1990 and 1994. In 1993, they participated in a Study Abroad program at the University of Glasgow. George later pursued a Master Health Administration (MHA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, completing it from 2015 to 2017.
