Karthik V. Sarma, MD, PhD, is a distinguished psychiatrist and medical AI scientist with a strong background in technology and healthcare. As the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of SimX since 2013, Karthik played a pivotal role in developing a leading medical simulation software platform, contributing to its acquisition by Madison Medical in 2024. Currently serving as RRTP Psychiatrist at UCSF Health and an investigator in AI in Mental Health, Karthik is also involved with the Digital Mental Health and AI Task Force. Karthik's extensive involvement in the American Medical Association includes roles such as Delegate, member of the House of Delegates, and Councilor on the AMA Council on Medical Service.
