The UCT English Language Centre delivers year-round courses to an international community of students who have chosen to expand their cultural, academic and professional horizons by learning English with the top University in Africa. The Centre also offers courses to anyone interested in becoming certified to teach English as a foreign Language anywhere in the world. ELC was established with the aim of professionalising the EFL industry in South Africa, and developing a language teaching pedagogy that is uniquely relevant to the Global South.
