Mike Pickup FBCS FHEA is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information technology and education. Currently serving as a Fellow at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT since December 2017, Mike has also held the position of Health and Safety Officer at the University and College Union (UCU) since 2015. As a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science and Employability & Placement Tutor at the University of Hertfordshire since October 2005, Mike has contributed significantly to academia. Previous roles include IT Manager at GSK, Merck, Cadbury plc., and ICT Strategy Consultant at Hertfordshire County Council, as well as IT Consultant positions at Shell and PWC. Mike’s academic credentials include an education from Imperial College London.
